Update to the SARC Awards - May 2020

The 2020 SARC Awards have been cancelled. During this difficult time and because of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the SARC Awards program for 2020. To learn more about each of the six Awards categories, read below.

The SARC Awards will be back in 2021, and we can't wait to honour the people and organizations that continue to promote diversity and inclusion in our communities.

The SARC Awards are a program designed to celebrate the unique accomplishments, journeys, skills, and contributions from across the province.  These awards celebrate community builders, inclusive employers and people that make the community a brighter place. 

The Good Neighbour Award recognizes a person who makes a difference in their community through their contribution or volunteer efforts.

The Spotlight Award recognizes a person who has an amazing skill or talent and who is eagerly working toward improving and sharing that talent within their community. 

The Great Work Award recognizes a person who demonstrates a great work ethic and professional growth in their community. 

The Journey Award recognizes a person whose personal journey has been extraordinary. 

The Community Builder Award recognizes an individual (outside of the SARC Membership) whose commitment to your community, the people you support, and your organization has been significant. 

The Inclusive Advantage Award recognizes an employer who is a leader in supported employment by employing people experiencing disability.
