How does the nomination process work?

1. Fill out the online nomination form by clicking the ‘nominate’ button on the Celebrate Success page, or alternately download and complete the registration forms (on the same page) and email or fax the completed form to Nicole Linzmeyer at nlinzmeyer@sarcan.sk.ca or 306-653-3932.  Please note that nominations must be received, not postmarked, by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on June 7, 2017.

2. SARC will acknowledge nominations as they are received.  If you have not heard from SARC, please contact Nicole Linzmeyer.

3. SARC staff will contact the award recipient’s organization within 2-3 weeks after the nomination deadline. All nominees will receive a certificate of nomination after the recipient has been selected.

4. SARC staff will travel to the award recipient’s community to get footage for the video vignette. Filming takes approximately six hours and will feature the recipient, the nominator, other organizational staff, friends, family, or others in the community who can help share the award recipient’s story.

Do I need to notify the nominee that I am nominating them?

This is up to the nominator.  If you feel that it is best to wait to tell the individual you are nominating, than you can indicate on the nomination form that they are not aware of their nomination.  For the Volunteer of Distinction and Employer of Excellence Award it is recommended that you have a discussion with the nominee prior to submitting a nomination as it is required that they attend the Celebrate Success Banquet and are willing to be featured in a video vignette.
