The Saskatchewan Association of Rehabilitation Centres (SARC) is the provincial non-profit Association that represents community-based organizations providing services for individuals with disabilities. SARC Member Agencies greatly depend on and appreciate the efforts of its 1000+ volunteers, as they play a large role in providing quality and meaningful services.
SARC recognizes that the voluntary sector fulfills a critical and unique role in serving individuals and communities and established the Volunteer of Distinction Award to be presented each year at its Annual General Meeting. The Award was created to recognize an individual(s) who volunteers at a SARC Member Agency to assist individuals with disabilities and demonstrates his/her commitment to furthering SARC’s Vision: “persons with disabilities enjoying full citizenship”.
SARC congratulates Johanna Sitter and all of the other nominees for their efforts in supporting individuals with disabilities to enjoy full citizenship in their communities.
