Valley Action Abilities is a charitable non-profit community based organization, which provides vocational training and residential housing and services to adults with disabilities.  We also provide weekly support services in our Supported Independent Living Program.  Participants in our programs are referred to our agency by Community Living Division, Mental Health, and Career and Employment Services.  We also operate a SARCAN Depot and a Coin-operated Laundromat.

Valley Action Abilities owns and operates one Group Home which provides residential services to 7 individuals.  We also provide vocational programs to 14 individuals in our Activity Centre such as: life skills, exercise, music, baking, crafts, nutrition, personal hygiene, social activities, confidential shredding, and paper recycling.  In our Workshop, we provide vocational programs to 19 individuals and our main activity is recycling and sorting items such as: cardboard; newsprint; magazines; office paper; books; household glass, tin, household plastic; and milk cartons and jugs.  We also have a Community Services Program which employs 5 individuals and provides services to the Town of Rosthern such as: garbage collection; compost collection; door-to-door recycle pickup; summer and winter yard maintenance; office custodial; and building calf shelters and garden sheds.
