Supported Employment

Many SARC Members operate supported employment programs to assist individuals with disabilities to prepare for, obtain, and maintain integrated community based paid employment (including self employment).

SARC’s Supported Employment Transition Initiative (SETI), which is made possible through an annual grant from the Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration (AEEI), provides funding support to projects to enhance supported employment services throughout the province.

For more information on Supported Employment, please see our brochure, or contact:

Joy McKinnon, SETI Coordinator, at (306) 933-0616 or by email.

The 2012-2013 fiscal year Call for Proposals is now available. Click here to download the application.

What Is the SETI Call for Proposals all about?

o Community Based Organizations (CBOs) have an opportunity to receive pilot project funding for a supported employment initiative. The fund can assist agencies in such areas as:
o The delivery of supported employment programs,
o Business networking; and,
o Enhanced access to generic employment services.

The Supported Employment Transition Initiative (SETI) provides funding to support the development and delivery of employment services for persons with disabilities in Saskatchewan. The SETI Project Coordinator provides guidance and support to individual SETI projects. Mandatory training is also provided at the start of SETI projects. Meetings hosted by the Project Coordinator occur at least twice per year in order to provide projects with an opportunity to review their progress with one another and exchange best practices.
